REGISTER AS A PARTICIPANT
Every year, between 150 and 250 people attend Build Peace as participants. Participants bring their experience to conference sessions, sharing it in questions, discussions and networking. Participants can also suggest impromptu sessions during the “Unconference” on the last day.
If you would like to attend Build Peace 2018 as a participant, you will need to acquire a conference ticket. Conference tickets give participants full access to the conference program over three days. Conference tickets do not include travel to or accommodation in Belfast – participants are responsible for making their own travel arrangements. We offer a range of ticket prices to take into account different economic situations.
There will be a small number of FREE conference tickets available for community activists based in Northern Ireland and students and staff of Ulster University. To apply please e-mail a personal statement of no more than one page, including your current research interests and/or projects and how conference attendance will help your professional development to Maria Prince at email@example.com by 30 June 2018. Please note that we are not able to assist with travel / accommodation costs.
APPLY TO CONTRIBUTE
We value the experience and expertise beyond our immediate network. Every year, we make a public call for applications to deliver short talks and organise workshops at Build Peace. Contributors receive free conference tickets and (to the extent possible) support with their travel and accommodation. Before applying to contribute, please review the conference program to ensure your contribution speaks to the Build Peace 2018 themes.
Workshops at Build Peace are 2-hour or 4-hour breakout sessions that offer a deep dive into an area of practice or research that is relevant to the conference topic. We will try to accommodate as many relevant workshops as we can.
(deadline June 30)
Short talks at Build Peace are 10-minute presentations to the conference plenary about an ongoing or finished project. Every year, we receive about 100 applications for 15 spots.
